 It is open weave cotton gauze that is impregnated with soft paraffin to facilitate dressing changes and to support a moist healing environment for wounds. Medifin Dressing is suitable for use with first and second degree burns, lacerations, abrasions and non-healing wounds such as leg ulcers. 

Medifin has interlocking threads which minimise fraying when the dressing is cut to shape. The dressing is permeable to air and fluid, allowing exudates to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing and minimises the risk of skin maceration. Medifin Dressing is also suitable for patients with sensitive skin.
